Devonte Matthews better known by his stage name DJ Vegas Vonte is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He grew up were violence was very heavy in the neighborhood. Music made him feel free and away from the crimes that went on in his city. He describes his music of a way for him to tell his side of the story to the streets. DJ Vegas Vonte is not your ordinary Artist he is also a talented DJ in which his is slogan “Music is my Time Machine”. As years go by DJ Vegas is currently working at Carnival Cruise Lines where he holds the position of Host DJ on the Carnival Panorama. DJ Vegas recently hit 8 Million streams worldwide “RIAA Gold Record” for the song “Cold Showers. He has also appeared in numerous of TV shows and films like “The Chi”, “Empire”, “Soundtrack”, “Justified”, “ We Are Grown Now”, “Saturdays Roller Skating Rink”, “Iron Heart”, “Candyman”, and “Power Book 5”.
